Apple hires new general counsel from Intel

Apple hires new general counsel from Intel Bruce Sewell has worked at Intel since 1995--his latest role as that case for nexus 4 company's nexus 4 case legal chief as well as a senior v case for nexus 4 . p .. At Intel, Sewell was critical to managing corporate policies and many hundreds lawyers in more than 30 countries. Sewell will in addition function as senior vp at Apple.

Sewell is replacing Daniel Cooperman, Apple's current legal head honcho, who seems to be retiring when they get home of September. Cooperman served as general counsel during the last couple of years after replacing Nancy Heinen, who has been investigated via SEC involving Apple's stock-option backdating scandal. (Heinen settled in the SEC a year ago, admitting no guilt.)

There are many important cases that Sewell may need to oversee immediately he takes the reins, comprising the recent FCC inquiry onto the rejection inside the Google Voice app and the ongoing Psystar copyright infringement case.

On Monday, the departure of another longtime Intel executive appeared public. Pat Gelsinger is leaving for EMC after Many years at Intel.
