Apple files for patent on Smart Cover with embedded display Apple has some concepts up its sleeve to generate it's good Cover, well, smarter.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office today published a credit card applicatoin Apple filed just last year linked to a sensible Cover boasting a "thin flexible display" that "greatly enhances the overall functionality of thetablet device."

According in to the patent application, the duvet cover belly with a connector who will stick to somewhat easily . to draw in power. Once connected, the Smart Cover may comfortable with "present visual information" and deal with the equivalent touch technology seen in a slate's display. A single image in Apple's patent application, the retailer shows the Smart Cover displaying icons that users could meet up with through hitting them.

Engadget, which had been first to uncover the patent application, posted a myriad of photos coming Designer Nexus 4 Case from a document, showing how a Smart Cover might work.
